I first spotted this spectacular cave on a boat trip along the shores of Georgian Bay with friends and wondered about it for weeks. After exploring it on foot at sunset one evening I dreamt about capturing its beauty under the stars. I waited months for the perfect conditions and when I saw the aurora forecasts in late March 2023 I knew I had to get to the cave. Once I arrived at the parking area I could see the aurora dancing all around me and raced along the trail to the icy shoreline. After making it to the cave and turning off my headlamp my eyes slowly adjusted to the dark. I found myself in complete awe of the aurora and spent hours under the stars and lights.
